DOGS WELCOME IN THE GUEST HOUSE ROTHBURY
BURNFOOT GUEST HOUSE ROTHBURY
NORTHUMBERLAND WELCOMES DOGS
I found this book very
informative with a lot of very helpful information. I have always trained my
dogs and it was interesting to know I had done some of it right, the book showed
me better ways, making it fun for both the girls and me. Take a look at the
site, plenty of freebies too.

I read this book and was
shocked by some of the information in it, then amazed by the rest. I bought it
and after reading it, felt so guilty that I could have put my beloved girls at
so much risk. Big changes in this house now. Read it for yourself, better still,
buy it, it will make for a better life for your beloved pet and save you
hundreds. Read it

You never imagine
your vet is firstly a businessman, read the book and find how just how much, our
pets are only pounds in their pockets.
Having dogs of my own, I know how difficult it can be to get
away on holiday or even have a break. I had to ensure all my pets were going to
looked after properly by someone I could trust. If I couldn't do that, I didn't
go, simples. Never have put any of them in kennels etc., not saying I have
anything against doing that, just wasn't for me.
I had guests recently who wouldn't leave their cats anywhere
else than the cattery they have used for years and they went quite willingly as
they were looked after and made welcome. Makes a difference, but how many are of
these wonderful places.
So, I decided that pet owners' should be able to take that
break and bring the dog along. They are allowed in the room but I don't make
dog owners any different from the other guests, they have nice bedding too, so
I prefer if the dog doesn't get on the bed as claws click the duvets.
There are plenty
of places to walk them or let them run in the garden,
usually with my two. After the usual hoo hah, they settle down. I have two
borders, who are sisters. Jenny is the home bird, my shadow, who pally's up
quite quickly. She took a real fancy to this little white Westie, Tilly, and
used to go knock on the room door or camp outside. Quite a few times she invited
herself in and they played around.
Meggie hates indoors, she has learnt to open doors and let
herself out, her favourite sport, chasing cars, ugh, it's a nightmare.
We have had a lot of guests with rescued dogs and that is
terrific but I see problems. These dogs become very possessive, they have never
had so much love and attention lavished on them and they will not let owners'
out of their site. Understandable.
I have added some information on this page, using one
to try and teach that dumb dog not to chase owt that moves, might sort any
problems you are experiencing too.
